Chapter 22 - Milo’s Vote

At thirteen, Milo began participating in age-appropriate trust education.

Not because he was expected to understand corporate law overnight.

Because Claire’s documents required inclusion.

Sarah showed him pictures and simplified reports.

“What does Vale Harbor own?”

“Buildings.”

“Yes.”

“What do people do there?”

“Work.”

“Right.”

He asked:

“Mine?”

“Partly for your benefit.”

He frowned.

“Can sell?”

“Not by yourself.”

“Good.”

Sarah laughed.

Supported decision-making meant explaining, not excluding.

Milo surprised board representative by asking why one warehouse lacked wheelchair-accessible meeting rooms.

Nobody had asked.

The company renovated.

Not because Milo became magical disabled hero.

Because he noticed something relevant.

Like any shareholder might.

His voice mattered because he was there.
