Chapter 6 - The True Bloodline

The entire restaurant seemed to stop spinning. The bodyguards standing in the background tensed, sensing a massive, unprecedented shift in power.

Gabriel stared at the silver locket on the table, his heart hammering against his ribs. He knew exactly what that crest meant. He looked up at the beautiful waitress in the stained uniform, his mind racing to comprehend the impossible reality standing in front of him.

"Antonio..." Salvatore whispered, a heavy, agonizing sob tearing from his chest. He looked up into Tessa’s sharp, fearless eyes. "You... you are Antonio's daughter?"

"My name is Tessa Rossi," she declared smoothly, completely claiming her birthright in front of the entire syndicate.

Isabella let out a shrill, panicked gasp. The color violently drained from her heavily contoured face.

"She's lying!" Isabella shrieked hysterically, lunging forward to grab the locket. "It's a fake! She's a con artist! Antonio was a rat who stole from this family and ran away! Throw this trash out right now!"

Gabriel violently slapped his mother's hand away before she could touch the silver heirloom.

"Don't touch it," Gabriel warned, his protective instincts completely shifting to the woman who was just revealed to be his own blood niece.

Salvatore looked at Tessa, his mind battling twenty-five years of grief and deception.

"If you are my granddaughter," Salvatore said, his voice trembling with desperation, "why did you hide? Why didn't Antonio come to me? He stole ten million dollars from the family vault. He betrayed us."

Tessa didn't flinch. A cold, merciless, cinematic smile touched her lips.
