Chapter 10 - The Empire Rebuilt

The loyal guards moved instantly. They violently grabbed Isabella by the arms, hauling her up from the floor. They ripped the millions of dollars in diamond necklaces and bracelets from her throat and wrists, completely stripping her of the wealth and power she had murdered for.

"Take her to the warehouse," Salvatore ordered, his voice echoing with merciless finality. "Seize all of her offshore accounts. When you are done extracting the rest of her network, hand her over to the cartel she paid to kill my son. Tell them her debt is finally due."

Isabella shrieked like a banshee, thrashing and kicking wildly as the massive guards dragged her out of the luxurious restaurant. Her pathetic, desperate cries faded into the cold Manhattan night, ending her reign of cruelty forever.

The dining room fell into a profound, heavy, and incredibly emotional silence.

Salvatore let his silver cane clatter to the floor. The terrifying mafia boss completely broke down. He took a shaky step forward and wrapped his arms around Tessa, pulling her into a fierce, desperate embrace, weeping into her shoulder.

"You came home," Salvatore cried, holding the last piece of his firstborn son. "You are safe now, Tessa. Nobody will ever hurt you again."

Tessa hugged him back, tears of pure relief finally falling from her fearless eyes. Her twenty-five-year mission was complete. Her father's name was cleared.

Gabriel stepped forward, offering Tessa a warm, genuine smile. "Welcome to the family, niece."

In the weeks that followed, Isabella vanished into the criminal underworld, facing absolute justice for her sins. Salvatore completely restructured the syndicate, placing Gabriel as the official Underboss, and placing Tessa at his right hand to manage the empire's legitimate finances. The family was finally whole, stronger than ever, proving that the truth will always survive, even if it has to be spoken in a dead language.

Do you think handing Isabella over to the rival cartel was enough justice, or did she deserve a harsher punishment directly from Salvatore?
