Chapter 20 - The Unbreakable Bond

Five incredibly long,

beautiful,

and profoundly transformative years have completely passed since that dark,

terrifying night when I was brutally tied to the heavy iron doorframe.

The deep,

physical scars on my foot have completely,

entirely healed,

leaving behind only faint,

silvery lines that serve as a quiet,

constant reminder of my incredible,

undeniable strength.

The massive,

corrupt empire that my former husband's incredibly arrogant family had ruthlessly built was entirely,

spectacularly dismantled,

the massive wealth completely redistributed to various,

highly effective domestic violence charities that Evelyn had specifically,

carefully selected.

My former husband and his incredibly cruel mother are still completely locked away in maximum-security federal prisons,

their highly expensive appeals entirely denied,

their arrogant,

powerful voices completely,

permanently silenced by the absolute,

unforgiving weight of ultimate justice.

I am currently sitting quietly on the expansive,

sun-drenched wooden deck of our beautiful home,

sipping a warm,

comforting cup of tea,

watching the bright,

golden autumn leaves slowly fall to the lush green grass.

My incredibly handsome,

fiercely intelligent,

and deeply compassionate five-year-old son,

Leo,

is happily,

loudly running across the massive yard,

chasing a small,

fluffy golden retriever puppy that Anna had recently adopted.

His bright,

joyful laughter rings incredibly clear through the crisp afternoon air,

a sound so incredibly pure and utterly devoid of any fear that it instantly brings happy,

grateful tears to my tired eyes.

Anna walks out through the sliding glass door,

carrying a large,

beautifully decorated tray of fresh,

warm chocolate chip cookies,

setting them carefully down on the rustic wooden patio table.

She sits quietly beside me,

her eyes completely filled with profound,

undeniable peace,

watching our beautiful,

perfect little family thrive in the absolute,

glorious light of true freedom.

"He is getting incredibly fast,"

Anna remarks,

smiling warmly as Leo successfully,

triumphantly tackles the wildly excited puppy into a massive pile of crunchy autumn leaves.

"He is completely fearless,"

I agree,

my heart swelling with a massive,

overwhelming amount of absolute pride and deep,

unconditional love.

I had completely walked through the darkest,

most terrifying depths of absolute hell,

enduring horrific,

unimaginable physical torture and severe,

debilitating psychological abuse,

but I had completely,

miraculously survived it all.

I successfully turned my immense,

paralyzing fear into a fierce,

unbreakable armor,

using it to completely destroy the massive,

corrupt monsters who had desperately tried to break my spirit.

If there is absolutely one single,

profound thing I want anyone incredibly trapped in the dark shadows to deeply,

truly understand,

it is that you are incredibly,

undeniably stronger than you could ever possibly imagine.

The incredibly heavy,

suffocating chains of abuse are absolutely not completely unbreakable,

and the terrifying monsters hiding in the dark are entirely,

spectacularly powerless against the fierce,

blinding light of the absolute truth.

I slowly stand up,

feeling the warm,

comforting autumn sun shining brightly on my face,

and I walk gracefully down the wooden steps to join my beautiful,

perfect son in the yard.

When he suddenly,

joyfully runs into my widely open arms,

wrapping his tiny,

strong hands tightly around my neck,

I know with complete,

absolute certainty that the incredible,

terrifying battle was entirely,

unquestionably worth fighting.

We are finally,

truly safe,

we are completely,

undeniably happy,

and our beautiful,

May you like

unwritten story of absolute survival and profound love will confidently,

boldly continue forever.
