Chapter 1 - The Calm Before the Impending Storm of Ultimate Vengeance

The sun crested over the horizon,

casting a pale, cold light across the manicured lawn of the house I had paid for.

Inside that damp storage room,

Gwen was still sleeping,

her breathing shallow and frail against the chill of the morning.

I gently pulled a heavy wool blanket over her shoulders,

my heart hardening into absolute steel.

My mother and sister were still asleep upstairs,

surrounded by luxury,

oblivious to the fact that their parasitic reign was about to violently end.

I stood up from the floor,

grabbed my phone and my camera,

and stepped out into the crisp morning air.

The neighborhood was peaceful,

unaware of the domestic war zone brewing behind closed doors.

I walked to my rental car,

unlocked the door,

and slid into the driver's seat.

My hands gripped the steering wheel,

trembling not from fear,

but from a suffocating, blinding rage.

For four years,

I had bled in the dirt,

facing mortars,

shrapnel,

and the constant hum of uncertainty,

all while believing the woman I loved was safe and provided for.

Instead,

my own blood had turned my home into a concentration camp for my wife.

They had starved her,

demeaned her,

mocked her shaved head,

and forced her to sleep among old boxes and cleaning supplies.

They thought they had won.

They thought I was a cash cow to be milked indefinitely.

They were dead wrong.

I reached into my pocket,

pulled out my military identification card,

and stared at the insignia.

Discipline,

honor,

strategy.

Those were the traits the military had beaten into me.

And I was going to use every single one of them to dismantle my family's empire of deceit piece by piece.

I started the engine,

backed out of the driveway,

and drove toward the nearest commercial center.

First,

I needed a secure mobile connection.

Second,

I needed a team of top-tier legal bulldogs who specialized in financial fraud and property embezzlement.

Third,

I needed to secure immediate,

uncompromising medical care for Gwen.

May you like

The clock was ticking,

and mercy was a luxury I had permanently revoked.
