Chapter 11

Domenico moved through the silent, shadowed hallways of the estate with the lethal grace of a hunting panther. He did not run, but his strides were long and consumed the distance to the main security hub in seconds. He burst through the reinforced steel door, his eyes immediately locking onto the bank of glowing monitors. The security team was already in a state of controlled panic, fingers flying across keyboards as the red timer on the main screen ticked down mercilessly. "Override the western gate hydraulics," Domenico ordered, his voice a low, vibrating command that cut through the chaos like a blade. "Drop the blast doors on the inner perimeter." The technicians scrambled to obey. Domenico watched the screen as the heavy steel barricades slammed down, isolating the outer courtyard from the main house. He knew the explosion would be catastrophic, designed not just to kill, but to shatter the psychological fortress of his men. The timer hit zero. A blinding flash of white light consumed the camera feed, followed instantly by a deafening roar that shook the very foundations of the Falcone estate. Dust and debris rained down from the ceiling of the control room. Domenico didn’t flinch. His dark, cold eyes remained fixed on the static-filled monitors. The Cole family had made their opening move, and they had chosen fire. Now, Domenico would show them what true destruction looked like. He raised his radio to his lips. "All units. Weapons free. Leave no survivors."
