Chapter 16 - The Rebirth Of The Corporate Empire
The heavy glass doors of the executive suite opened wide,
inviting me into the gleaming boardroom that Daniel had once ruled with arrogant,
unquestioned authority.
I walked toward the head of the long conference table,
my posture tall,
my stride confident,
wearing a sharp charcoal pantsuit that radiated absolute power and professional control.
Greg and the remaining corrupt executives had already been permanently escorted from the building by security guards hours earlier,
leaving behind an atmosphere of tense,
hesitant anticipation.

stood beside my seat,

"The accounts have been successfully frozen,
transferred,
and restructured under your exclusive ownership,
Evelyn,"
Clara whispered respectfully,
sliding the binder toward my hands.
I opened the cover,

"Bring in the remaining department heads,"
I instructed clearly,
my voice echoing across the silent,
attentive room.
Within moments,

"Sit down,"
I said,
gesturing to the vacant leather chairs surrounding the massive glass table.
"I am well aware that Daniel ran this company like a personal piggy bank and a playground for his own deceit,
but I also know which of you fought against his unethical mandates."
A collective sigh of relief rippled through the room,
as the managers realized I was offering them a clean slate,
a chance to rebuild the firm under honest,
transparent leadership.
"Effective immediately,
we are launching an internal transparency initiative,"
I declared,
locking eyes with each person in the room.
"We honor hard work,
we respect integrity,
and anyone who attempts to replicate Daniel's corrupt playbook will be met with immediate legal destruction."
