Chapter 20 - The Final Checkmate And The Ultimate, Absolute Justice

The incredibly massive,
overwhelmingly loud,
terrifyingly powerful,
heavy rhythmic thumping of three massive,
black,
tactical federal helicopters violently,
aggressively shattered the peaceful,
quiet,
expensive silence of the luxurious,
wealthy downtown skyline.
Arthur Sterling,
the incredibly arrogant,
dangerously powerful,
completely ruthless billionaire,
was standing quietly,
confidently,
smugly near the massive,
floor-to-ceiling,
bulletproof glass windows of his massive,
sprawling,
expensive penthouse suite.
He was holding a beautiful,
crystal,
highly expensive glass of rare,
aged whiskey,
smiling wickedly,
evilly,
darkly as he watched the glowing,
bright,
chaotic city lights twinkling peacefully,
beautifully far below him.
He genuinely,
arrogantly,
completely believed that his massive,
expensive,
malicious media smear campaign had finally,
totally,
permanently broken my strong,
resilient,
brave daughter and me.
Suddenly,
unexpectedly,
violently,
the massive,
heavy,
reinforced golden doors of his highly secure,
expensive,
private elevator exploded completely,
aggressively,
loudly outward,
sending sharp,
dangerous,
jagged pieces of thick,
shattered metal flying violently,
chaotically across the massive,
expensive,
marble floor.
Arthur dropped his crystal,
expensive glass instantly,
shockedly,
fearfully,
the incredible,
loud,
sharp sound of breaking,
shattering glass echoing loudly,
harshly,
piercingly through the massive,
cavernous,
luxurious room.
Dozens of heavily armored,
highly trained,
incredibly focused,
furious federal agents flooded violently,
rapidly,
unstoppably into the massive,
expensive suite,
their bright,
blinding,
laser-sighted weapons aimed directly,
unwaveringly,
lethally at his chest.
I walked slowly,
deliberately,
confidently,
powerfully through the heavy,
thick,
lingering smoke of the exploded,
shattered doors,
wearing my heavy,
black,
protective tactical vest,
my head held incredibly,
proudly,
unwaveringly high.
"Arthur Sterling,"
I announced loudly,
clearly,
powerfully,
my voice completely,
utterly dominating the chaotic,
loud,
frenzied room,
echoing fiercely,
unstoppably against the expensive,
bare walls.
"You are officially,
formally,
legally under massive,
comprehensive federal arrest for severe,
aggravated money laundering,
massive,
coordinated criminal conspiracy,
and extensive,
violent federal extortion."
Arthur stared at me in complete,
absolute,
pure,
unadulterated disbelief,
his incredibly expensive,
perfectly tailored,
dark suit suddenly,
noticeably looking incredibly foolish,
pathetic,
and weak against the massive,
overwhelming,
heavily armed federal force.
"You cannot possibly,
legally do this,"
he stammered weakly,
pathetically,
fearfully,
taking a slow,
terrified,
shaky step backward toward the massive,
thick,
glass windows.
"I am incredibly,
massively wealthy,
I employ dozens of brilliant,
expensive,
ruthless corporate lawyers,
and I completely,
totally own this entire,
corrupt,
pathetic city!"
"You do not own absolutely anything anymore,
Arthur,"
Agent Thomas Vance stated coldly,
harshly,
lethally,
stepping smoothly,
confidently up beside me,
holding the heavy,
silver,
encrypted flash drive prominently,
visibly,
mockingly in his raised,
gloved hand.
"Your highly loyal,
trusted,
expensive Chief Financial Officer completely,
utterly,
permanently flipped on you yesterday,
and he happily,
eagerly surrendered absolutely every single,
dirty,
illegal,
hidden financial secret you ever created."
The last tiny,
insignificant,
pathetic bit of arrogant,
smug color completely,
violently drained from Arthur's incredibly pale,
shocked,
aged face,
leaving him looking exactly,
precisely like the weak,
pathetic,
cowardly criminal he truly,
genuinely was.
He slowly,
reluctantly,
defeatedly sank down onto his incredibly expensive,
soft,
white leather couch,
holding his shaking,
trembling,
guilty hands out to be heavily,
tightly,
painfully shackled by the advancing,
furious federal agents.
I walked quietly,
deliberately,
slowly over to him,
looking down intensely,
darkly,
victoriously into his broken,
defeated,
terrified eyes.
"You thought you could easily,
effortlessly,
maliciously buy our complete,
total destruction with your massive,
staggering,
unlimited wealth,"
I whispered quietly,
dangerously,
powerfully,
making absolutely,
completely sure he heard every single,
devastating,
final word I said.
"But you completely,
arrogantly,
foolishly forgot that a deeply loving,
highly trained,
fiercely protective mother will absolutely,
unhesitatingly,
willingly burn down your entire,
massive,
expensive empire to keep her beautiful,
innocent child safe."
They dragged him roughly,
aggressively,
loudly out of his beautiful,
expensive,
luxurious penthouse,
his massive,
staggering,
untouchable empire completely,
utterly,
permanently destroyed in a single,
swift,
decisive night of absolute,
pure justice.
The next bright,
beautiful,
sunny,
hopeful morning,
my unfair,
unjust,
temporary police suspension was officially,
formally,
happily lifted,
my heavy,
shiny,
precious silver badge was respectfully,
proudly returned to my belt,
and the local,
biased media was forced to broadcast massive,
public,
humiliating apologies to Emily and me.
Emily sat happily,
peacefully,
joyfully on our quiet,
warm,
wooden porch swing,
watching the bright,
colorful,
beautiful autumn leaves fall gently,
slowly,
gracefully to the lush,
green ground.
The incredibly long,
dark,
terrifying,
abusive nightmare that had aggressively,
violently started in that cold,
small,
wooden shed was finally,
truly,
absolutely,
permanently over.
She was entirely,
completely safe,
her highly promising,
important,
precious medical career was fully,
totally restored,
and the dangerous,
evil monsters who had tried to brutally,
ruthlessly ruin her were all securely,
safely locked away behind incredibly thick,
heavy,
cold iron bars.
I stood quietly,
proudly,
lovingly behind her,
resting my warm,
strong,
protective hands gently,
softly on her relaxed,
peaceful shoulders,
knowing deeply,
profoundly,
absolutely that no matter what incredibly dark,
dangerous,
terrifying challenges the vast,
unknown future might bring,
we would absolutely,
always,
unfailingly face them completely,
May you like
bravely,
and entirely together.
