Chapter 18 - The Bloodless Surrender on the Frozen Tarmac and the Banishment of the Broken King

The highly dramatic and completely final confrontation occurred on the dark,

freezing,

and completely wind-swept tarmac of the newly acquired suburban airstrip.

I watched the incredible and tense scene unfold in high definition on the airport's completely compromised security camera feeds,

sitting safely and comfortably in Ethan's warm and highly secure remote fortress while he personally handled the final and absolute victory.

Victor Romano's massive and expensive black armored car skidded violently and aggressively onto the quiet runway,

racing frantically toward the dark and completely silent private jet that he mistakenly believed was his absolute salvation.

However,

instead of finding a warm and fully prepped escape vehicle waiting for him,

Victor found the massive and highly intimidating figure of Ethan Moretti standing completely calmly in front of the locked aircraft doors.

Ethan was flanked heavily by dozens of his most elite and heavily armed personal tactical guards,

their dark weapons resting easily but incredibly dangerously at their sides,

projecting an aura of complete,

absolute,

and entirely uncontested underworld dominance.

Victor stumbled awkwardly and pitifully out of his expensive vehicle,

his previously neat and highly tailored dark suit completely ruined and heavily wrinkled,

his arrogant and cruel face now completely twisted into a pathetic mask of pure and absolute terror.

"Where are my highly paid pilots,

Moretti?"

Victor screamed desperately and weakly,

looking around frantically at the completely deserted and freezing runway,

the harsh winter wind violently whipping his thinning gray hair around his pale and sweating face.

"Your highly paid pilots actually work directly for my brand new chief financial officer now,

Victor,"

Ethan replied calmly and coldly,

his deep voice carrying perfectly over the howling and violent winter wind.

"In fact,

this entire airport,

that incredibly expensive private jet,

and the very frozen concrete you are currently standing on,

now completely and legally belong to my massive and legitimate corporate empire."

Victor dropped heavily and pitifully to his shaking knees,

the complete and absolute realization of his total financial and physical defeat finally crushing his arrogant and cruel spirit completely into the frozen ground.

He had absolutely no stolen money left to fight with,

absolutely no loyal men left to aggressively defend him,

and absolutely no hidden avenues left to cowardly escape through.

"I absolutely will not kill you tonight,

Victor,

because a completely broken,

bankrupt,

and entirely humiliated man is vastly more useful to me alive as a terrifying warning to others,"

Ethan stated firmly and unforgivingly,

walking slowly and deliberately toward the weeping and pathetic former mafia boss.

"You will completely and immediately leave this entire country on a cheap commercial flight tomorrow morning,

you will absolutely never contact any of your former criminal associates ever again,

and if I ever see your pathetic and broken face in my city,

the consequences will absolutely not be merely financial."

The total and absolute destruction of the Romano crime family was completely and entirely bloodless,

a flawlessly executed and highly strategic corporate takeover that perfectly merged the ruthless and violent tactics of the hidden underworld with the incredibly cold and calculating logic of high finance.

Ethan had completely won the massive and dangerous war,

not by violently firing a thousand lethal bullets in the dark city streets,

but by completely and utterly empowering a brilliant,

May you like

brave,

and completely fearless accountant to completely destroy the enemy's highly vulnerable financial foundation.
