Chapter 10 - A New Dawn

The morning of the vow renewal was bright, crisp, and clear.

There was no grand ballroom this time, no manufactured perfection of imported Ecuadorian roses.

Instead, the ceremony was held in the sun-drenched garden of their own home.

Only their closest friends and trusted family members were invited.

The altar was simple, framed by natural oak trees and wildflowers blooming in the soft morning breeze.

Lily walked down the aisle first, wearing a simple yellow sundress, scattering real flower petals with a bright, genuine laugh.

Eleanor walked down the aisle on her own terms.

She wore a flowing, ivory dress that caught the sunlight, looking radiant, strong, and completely free.

Arthur waited for her at the altar, his eyes bright with tears of absolute joy.

When Eleanor reached him, they didn't need a lengthy script or a rehearsed performance.

They simply held each other’s hands, their fingers intertwined so tightly that no force in the world could ever pull them apart.

As the officiant pronounced them united once more, Arthur leaned down and kissed her.

It wasn't a performance for the elite or the media.

It was a quiet, fierce promise of a future built on truth, survival, and unbreakable love.

In the front row, Lily clapped her hands and cheered, her joyous laughter echoing through the garden.

Eleanor looked out over the crowd, taking a deep breath of the sweet, open air.

The past was buried beneath the ashes, but their future was blooming in the warm morning light.
