Chapter 15 - A FUTURE RECLAIMED

A year after the nightmare began, a quiet ceremony took place in the courtyard garden of the Varric estate.
It was not a lavish high-society gala, but an intimate gathering of close friends, legal allies, and foundation staff. Under an archway of white roses and green Ivy, Matteo and Liana stood together, dressed in simple, elegant attire.
"Liana," Matteo said, holding her hands in his, his voice clear and resonant with deep emotion. "When you stepped into my house, you were carrying a burden no person should ever have to bear. You brought truth into a home built on lies, and you brought love into a heart that had been frozen by grief. I promise to spend the rest of my life protecting you, supporting your vision, and raising Leo with the honor he deserves."
Liana looked up into Matteo’s blue eyes, seeing the deep, unbreakable commitment reflected there.
"Matteo," Liana whispered softly. "I came into your home looking for survival. What I found was a partner who fought alongside me when the whole world tried to silence us. You gave me back my son, and together, we gave this city justice. I give you my heart, completely and without fear."
The minister smiled, declaring them husband and wife before their small group of loved ones.
As the small crowd cheered, Leo ran up from the front row, holding a bright bouquet of daisies. Matteo laughed, leaning down to scoop the boy up in one arm while wrapping his other arm securely around Liana.

Together, they stood on the sunlit terrace, looking out over the sprawling green estate and the city beyond. The dark shadows of syndicate corruption, hospital cover-ups, and stolen identities were gone, replaced by a bright, unyielding future built on love, truth, and an indestructible bond.
Liana rested her head against Matteo’s shoulder, holding her son’s hand. The maid who had once dropped her linens in sheer horror had reclaimed her life, her child, and her destiny—and together, they were finally home.
